Savannah - Ensemble Voice
Savannah has been in three plays. She was a maid, dalmatian, and recently in ensemble voice. Savannah’s favorite part of the play is practicing with everybody. She is from Colorado. Savannah also likes to play the piano in her spare time.
Aidan - King of Hearts
Alice in Wonderland is Aidan’s first acting position in a stage production. He has been a member of the St. Martha Catholic School choir since 4th grade. He also participated in dance classes at Jeanne's Dance Academy in Indiana. He and a group of boys would perform at dance recitals locally.
Aidan’s favorite part about Alice in Wonderland is he gets to come to play practice with the group almost everyday, run lines and practice dances and scenes. He does not have a favorite scene in the play because he loves all of them.
Aidan recently saw the musical The Lion King. The stage production inspired him to try out for the school play. When Aidan’s not at play practice he enjoys going to Disney with family, hanging out with friends, watching My Hero Academia, and playing Jump Force.
Hadley - Small Alice
Hadley has been performing since she was 3 years old – first in dance and then at eight, she fell in love with theater! Since then, she has been in 7 plays: Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Pegasus in Hercules, Mulan in Mulan, Bridget in Trolls, Merida in Brave, Willy Wonka in a short from Charlie in the Chocolate Factory, and Maui in Moana. While she was a chimney sweep in an original musical at her old school, her role of Small Alice in Alice in Wonderland marks her first time in a full musical. When Hadley is not acting, she enjoys soccer, drawing, creative writing, and singing in the choir. Her favorite part of being in Alice in Wonderland is "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" because the cast has so much fun and energy performing it.
Mya - Tall Alice
Mya has never been in a musical before but she is happy to say that Alice in Wonderland Jr. is her first one! Mya has been in many skits while she was in the Theater Arts elective. Mya was an evil stepmom in Three Wishes and Susan in Regift. Her favorite part about Alice in Wonderland is making new friends at practice and having fun. She also enjoys playing volleyball and softball outside of school.
Cristina - Lead Voice
Cristina has been in many plays before. Some of them are “Annie”, “Aladdin”, “Fiddler on the Roof”, and “Lion King”. Cristina’s favorite part of the play is the beginning where everyone does the dance and sing. In her free time, she usually practices singing, playing the piano and listening to music. Cristina’s favorite sport is tennis. Cristina hopes to be a famous singer one day!
Colleen - Ensemble Dance
To begin with, Colleen was in the Nutcracker since she was 4-7. When she was in the Nutcracker, the parts that she played were a mouse and a lamb. Some things about her would be, her favorite sport is soccer, she likes to dance, and her two best friends are Laila and Charlotte. Her favorite part of the play is the Mad Tea Party. Lucy - Doorknob
Lucy has been in a play, but she was only stage crew. The play was "Annie Jr." Her favorite part of this play is when Alice meets the doorknob and the Mad Hatter; March Hare scene. Lucy enjoys playing tennis and playing with her dog Biscuit!
Emily - Ensemble Voice
Emily has performed in prior plays and musicals. She is in choir and has sung on stage at the Sarasota Opera House. Emily was in “Jungle Book” as one of the baby wolves. She is also part of the ensemble in the operas, “The Little Sweep” and “Brundibar.” Her favorite part of the play, “Alice and Wonderland Jr.,” is the red roses scene. She loves to cook, read, and one of her many hobbies is taking care of animals.
Megan - Queen of Hearts
In this production of “Alice in Wonderland”, Megan plays the Queen of Hearts. This is her second play at St. Martha but it is her 7th production as an actor. Her two favorite songs are “Painting the Roses Red” and “A Very Merry Unbirthday”. “One of the reasons that I love playing the queen is that I get to see a whole new side of me that I knew existed but didn’t know was so strong,” says Megan. “It is really hard to believe that it is over. It feels like just yesterday it was the first practice when we were sitting in our seats eating popcorn and cheese balls."
John - Stage Crew
This is John’s second musical. He is one of the stage crew. His experience is being great in chaotic situations. His organizational skills are fantastic. His favorite part was seeing the bloopers and how they are fixed. He likes to draw and play a lot of sports.
Charlotte - Alice
Charlotte has never been in a musical before. This will be her first one! Charlotte has three favorite parts about this play. First, she likes the amazing teachers that help her practice! Second, she just moved to this school and has made many new friends here. Lastly, Charlotte’s favorite scene is the Mad Tea Party scene! She has fun with the singing and dancing! She also loves when she is on trial. Charlotte loves to do activities. She loves to sing, dance, play soccer, swim, read, study, and watch TV with her dog! But something that is very special to her is her friends. She never wants to do anything that will upset or hurt her friends. Charlotte loves to play with her friends and is very excited and honored to be the lead in her very first play ever!
Olivia - Rose
This is Olivia’s first time in a musical but she has done many skits before. She is playing the lead flower role of Rose and an understudy for the Queen of Hearts. Her favorite part of the play is to experience all the people here and to be up on stage and singing which is what she loves to do. Olivia has been playing competitive soccer for 6 years and loves dogs. Olivia also enjoys doing makeup and singing in her choir where she has had multiple solos.
Keira - Stage Crew
Keira has been in one musical. She played a fish in The Little Mermaid. Her favorite part in this play was the dancing, and going down a slide during the performance. She loves to play volleyball. She also likes to do diamond art, and she likes going to the pool.
Hope - Tweedle Dee
Hope has not been in a musical, but she has been in plays and skits. She was Mrs. Claus in “Santa’s Cookie Problem" and Esmeralda in “100th Birthday”. She loves all the colors and characters in this play. Hope wants to be an actress when she is older but she also loves basketball. She also wants to do athletic training in high school through college. Hope loves animals with all her heart and thought of being a zoo keeper before she found acting.
Sydney - Ensemble Dance
Sydney has never been in a play/musical before. Her favorite part of being in the Alice in Wonderland play was learning the choreography, dancing and being silly. Sydney’s favorite sport to play is Volleyball. One of her favorite places to be in the whole world is at Norris Lake, Tennessee with her family and friends.
Liliana - Ensemble Voice
Lilliana has been in 3 musicals before. She has been in the “Wizard of Ozz,” “Annie Jr”, and “Alice in Wonderland Jr.” In “Wizard of Oz”, she was a munchkin. In “Annie Jr”, she was a New Yorker, usherette, and a maid. In “Alice in Wonderland” she was assemble voice. Her favorite part of the “Alice in Wonderland” production is “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah.” Lilliana loves horses and bunnies. She does horseback riding and tennis.
Joe - Two of Clubs
Joe has been in his school’s Christmas and end of the year performances. His favorite part of the play is the "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" song and dance. Joe enjoys soccer, music and watching movies. Being an actor is one of the things he is interested in being one day.
Tamas - Three Of Diamonds
Tamas is a 6th grader at St. Mary Academy. He was very excited to be a "card" in this play. Previously he has been in the 4th grade Christmas Play. In his free time he likes to ride his bike, hang out with his family, play with his dog - Sarge, go fishing with his dad and go walking with his mom.
Alexandra (Sasha) - Four of Hearts
Sasha is in the school play this year. She has been in a lot of dance performances, and winter shows, but this is her first actual play. Her favorite part about this play is how everyone can work together to perform something great. She loves her dog, and one of her hobbies is dance.
Trenton - DoDo Bird
Trenton has been in multiple musicals. Trenton has been in James and the Giant Peach where he was Earthworm. He was in “Seussical” where he was Mr. Mayor. He was in “Into the Woods” where he was the Narrator. He was in “Aladdin” where he was Sultan. He was also in “Peter Pan” where he was Mr. Darling and Nibs. Lastly in “Frozen,” he was in the ensemble. His favorite part of this play is meeting the cast and making new friends. His favorite activity is to act and sing. He loves to play outside with his neighbors. He also loves to draw and paint.
Isabella (Bella) - Lead Voice
Isabella is in 5th grade at St. Martha. She has been in the play “Legally Blonde, Jr” at the Sarasota Players and she played the bailiff and was in the main cast. Her favorite part of the play is “Zip A Dee Doo Dah”. Isabella loves to draw and do anything with art. You can always see her with something to draw with.
Elle - Violet
Elle has been in one play. She had the part of Annie in “Annie Jr. Elle excels in tennis and has been taking it for two years. Elle likes the scene when Alice meets the Doorknob.
Lucia - Matilda
Lucia has never been in a play before. Although she hasn’t been in a play, she was in charge of the music in last years play, Annie Jr. , her favorite part about the play is that the people are all so nice and fun. Lucia’s mother always thought that she would be an actor when she grew up. I guess Lucia’s mom was correct.
Ainsley - White Rabbit
Ainsley is in 6th grade at St. Martha. In the play, she portrays the White Rabbit. She has been in 11 plays including the lead in last year’s musical , “Annie JrR.” She is very excited to see where her amazing talent for acting and singing will take her. Her favorite song in the play is “I’m Late”.” “I really like this song because I get to sing it and it is a very catchy and upbeat song.” This is by far her second favorite play. Her favorite part of being the White Rabbit is, “I get to jump around a lot and sing and dance!” She hopes to continue her love for acting for the rest of her life!
