Denny - Mad Hatter
Denny has been in one play before and this is his second play. He was an officer, New Yorker, and a President in’ ’Annie Jr’’. He enjoys singing and dancing in his free time. Outside of acting, he does Karate. He is a black belt and enjoys doing it. Denny says, “My favorite part about being in this musical is dancing and showing my acting ability.”
Beatrice - Ensemble Dancer
Beatrice has never been in a play or musical before. Her favorite part of this play is “Zip A Dee Doo Dah”. She likes to swim.
Lilly - Lead Dancer
Lilly has never been in a musical before. Lilly’s favorite part of this play is "Very Merry Unbirthday". Lilly enjoys sports such as competitive cheerleading.
Jack - Cheshire Cat #1
Jack has been in a musical before, he was Mike TV in “Willy Wonka Jr.” and now is the Cheshire Cat #1. His favorite part in the musical is when he does the handstand when he meets Alice. His favorite thing to do is fish. He also has 2 siblings that attend SMCS.
Andrew - Ace of Spade
Andrew has played the part of the Ace of Spades in the "Alice in Wonderland Jr."musical. His favorite part of this Musical is singing and dancing. In his free time, he loves gardening, paddle boarding, Taekwondo, and watching The Weather Channel and hopes to be a professional meteorologist one day.
Aidan (Bo) - Stage Crew
Bo has been in two other musicals before this one. The play’s that Bo has been in is “Annie Jr.” and the “Wizard of Oz.” Bo’s favorite part of the play is the beginning. Bo’s favorite activity is playing golf.
Parker - Caterpillar
Samuel is the caterpillar in this play. This is his ninth performance he has been a part of. His favorite part of the play is learning all of the dances and songs, also being with his friends. He is twelve years old and loves to act and perform.
Karel - Ensemble Dance
This is Karel’s first time being in a play. Karel loves dancing, acting, and singing. Her favorite part about this play is the finale when everyone comes together.
Maryia - Tweedle Dum
Mia has been in the school play 2018 as Hermia and background character. Her favorite part of the play is the dancing. She sings in a church choir.
Hailey - Ensemble Voice
Hailey is in 5th grade at St. Martha. She enjoys doing crafts and singing and taking care of her animals. This is her first play except the Christmas musical. Her favorite part of the play is the songs and the new friends she meets here.
Alexa (Lexie) - Lily
This is the 5th musical Alexa has been in. She was an elf in the Nutcracker, Tessie, an orphan, in Annie, part of the ensemble in Wicked, a lead dancer in Frozen, and now she portrays Lily, a flower. Her favorite part of this play is portraying a sassy flower. It challenges her and is overall a great experience and is making her a better actress. Aside from acting, she is a black belt in taekwondo and enjoys writing songs with her guitar.
Theresa - Stage Crew
Theresa has done Stage Crew once before, so this is her second time and she played a shepherd in a Christmas play in 4th grade. Her favorite part of the play is the song "The Golden Afternoon". She also loves to play sports including volleyball and basketball.
Brady - Stage Crew
Brady has not been to any real broadway show but he has gone to the “Jungle Book” at Venice Theater. Some of the characters were Baloo, Mogli, Bagheera, and She Ran Kan. He was so excited to join this play because he loves the statistical side of things. He loves what goes on behind the scenes to make a sporting event, play, concert, or any fun event come to life. Something he loves to do in his spare time is play baseball. He has a devoted passion to it and loves to go to games and play with his brother.
Danika - Cheshire Cat #3
The actor who plays Cheshire Cat #3 is Danika. She has been in 3 other plays including "Charlie in the Chocolate Factory" (Oopa Loopa), Christmas play (Shepherd), and "Annie Jr." (Sandy). Danika enjoys sailing, baking, volleyball, and watching YouTube in her spare time.
Jake - Cheshire Cat
Jake has been in plays before at his old school. Some of these plays include “The Wizard of Oz”, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”. Characters that he has played in both of these plays include Uncle Henry, ("Wizard of Oz"), and Oompa Loompa ("Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"). Jake's favorite part of the play is acting. He also loves creating stories.
Andrew - Ensemble Dance/Lobster
Andrew has not been in a musical before, none whatsoever. The “Caucus Race “ is his favorite part of the play. His Uncle is his favorite person in the world. He means everything to him.
Alana - Lead Dancer
Alana has been in a play and musical. Alana was in “Annie”. She was a Dancing Orphan. In the Nativity she was an Angel. Alana’s favorite part in the play is the "Unbirthday" dance. Alana’s passion is dance. Dance means alot to Alana.
Brooke - Petunia
Brooke is a 7th grade student at St Mary Academy. This is her first play at this school. She has been in a winter concert at her old school Phillippi Shores, but this is her first play here at St Mary. Her favorite part of this play are the songs they are so catchy and fun and they will make you want to do the dance. Her favorite hobbies are singing and dancing and that’s how she got inspired to do this year’s musical.
Sofia - Ensemble Voice
Sofia has been in a play. Sofia was in the Christmas play and she was in “Alice in Wonderland” when she was little. She was the teacup in the Mad Hatter party. She also was in the choir and the speaker of the 3rd graders in the Christmas play. In the Alice In Wonderland play, her favorite part is the “Painting the Roses Red” scene. Her hobbies are dancing. She has been dancing since she was 2. She is an assistant for dance at Stage Door. She loves Volleyball.
Lizzy - Ensemble Dance
Elizabeth has been in a play before. She played in “The Wizard of Oz”, Her role was the Lollipop Girl. Her Favorite part of “Alice in Wonderland” is “The Caucus Race”! Her hobbies are going to the beach,skiing, basketball, volleyball, and spending time with family!
Leo - Ensemble Dance
Leo is a fifth grade student at St Martha and has not been in a musical before. His favorite part of the play is all the fun things that come along while doing the play. Leo loves to act and it is one of his favorite hobbies.
Owen - March Hare
Owen is very talented and was in the last school musical “Annie”. When he was in that play he played Apple Seller, Laundryman, NYC Dancer, and the President’s Bodyguard. He is a 7th-grade student and acting is one of his favorite hobbies. Owen loves this play because of all the fun things that come along the way when doing this.
Maria - Cheshire Cat #2
Maria has been in public presentations before. This year, in “Alice in Wonderland Jr.,” she is playing one of the Cheshire Cats. Some examples of past public presentations would be when she was in “Annie Jr.” In Annie, Maria played Duffy, or when Maria played a doll in “Toy Story,” or when she danced a two-people dance for a school presentation (her partner didn’t go that day, sadly, so she had to improvise), or when she was a narrator for another school presentation, or when she was a balloon seller in yet another school presentation, or when she sang and won a school talent show. Maria’s favorite parts of being in this play would be hanging out, staying after school, the costumes, her role, the “Simon Says” song, the “Unbirthday” dance, when the other Cheshire Cats have to help Jack Army do a handstand, and more… Maria really likes to listen to music. One of her favorite foods is meat, such as filet mignon with potatoes and that really good sauce which she doesn’t know how her family makes it. One of her favorite desserts is cake pops. (Everything has to be gluten-free and peanut-free, though). Ones of her favorite TV shows is “Lost In Space.” One of her favorite movies is “Shazam!
Annie - Ensemble Dancer
Annie has been in a musical before. Once Annie was a clown, the second time Annie was a pirate and the 3rd time Annie was Gingy from "Shrek". Annie’s favorite part of the play is the "Caucus Race" because she gets to pretend to prepare for a race while she is dancing. Some of her favorite activities and sports are playing soccer with her friends, going to the beach, skiing, having fun with her friends, playing with her dog Bo and just spending time with her family.
Ana - Stage Crew
Ana has never been in a musical before. This is her first year being part of the stage crew. She likes designing the sets and working with music. Ana hopes to keep being part of the stage crew for future plays. In her free time, Ana likes to play sports and draw.
Savannah - Ensemble Voice
Savannah has never been in a play. She has experienced “The Wizard of Oz”, “Annie Jr,” and “The Christmas Story”. Her favorite part of the play is the Mad Hatter Scene. She loves to read and sing in her free time.
Trip - Stage Crew
Trip has never been in a play before. The plays Trip has experienced before are "Romeo and Juliet", "Wizard of Oz" and some at the Asolo Theatre that he can not remember. Trip's favorite part of this play is going to be moving the set and watching it during practice. One of Trip's favorite hobbies or sports is football and baseball but for him mainly football. He loves playing catch with his dad with a baseball or football after school.
George - Ensemble Voice
George has never participated in a play. He doesn't have experience with any musicals. His favorite part is "Dodgsonland " His favorite sport is football. He says is ia a very good athlete he likes listening to music. He's a huge Panthers fan.
Carleigh - Daisy
Carleigh is portraying Daisy in “Alice in Wonderland, Jr.” She likes to read, play the ukulele, play soccer, and paint. She has been in one play before, which was “Annie Jr.” She played Kate, one of the orphans. Her favorite part of this year’s play is the "Prologue". She really likes spending time with her family and friends.
Taylor - Stage Crew
Taylor has performed in one musical before. Taylor played an Emerald Guard in the “Wizard of Oz” when he was in 5th grade. Taylor was also on stage crew for the production of “Annie” last year. Taylor's favorite part about this play is being on stage crew and helping out with making the stage decorations and props.
